Ginger has been involved in color guard since 1982 when she filled a spot in the Houston NightHawks Drum and Bugle Corps. She went on to march with the Spirit of Atlanta, where she was a part of the DCI Championship colorguards in 1985 and 1987. She has taught high schools throughout Texas and the Southeast, is the Camp Coordinator for Spirit Camps, Inc., and has traveled to Japan to serve as a consultant to several bands and drum and bugle corps in Yokohama and surrounding areas.

When not teaching colorguard, Ginger is a math teacher at Northgate High School. She and her husband Alan have 4 children: Caitlin (16), Kelsey (12) and twins Ryan and Emily (8).
