Mr. Sink graduated from the University of West Georgia with a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music degree in Music Education. His drum corps experience includes marching with Spirit of Atlanta, Phantom Regiment, and Atlanta CV. Chris also served on the visual staff and was the Visual Caption Head for Atlanta CV for two years.
Mr. Sink is currently the Assistant Director at Northgate High School in Newnan, GA. He served for one year as the Assistant Director of Bands at Heritage High School in Conyers, GA before coming to Northgate in the same role in 2009. Under Mr. Sink’s direction, both the Symphonic Band and Concert Band at Northgate have frequently earned superior ratings at GMEA Large Group Performance Evaluation. His marching bands consistently receive high ratings and championship honors in visual and music performance. He also currently serves as a visual consultant and drill writer for numerous bands throughout the southeast. In 2013, Mr. Sink received the “30 Under 30” award from the University of West Georgia. The program recognizes 30 alumni that are under the age of 30 that have made a significant impact in their career field. He is a member of Georgia Music Educators Association, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and Kappa Kappa Psi. Mr. Sink currently lives in Newnan, GA with his wife Kira and their sons Emery and Everett. |
