The Viking Color Guard performs as part of the Viking Marching Band. Members of the color guard dance and perform on flags, rifles, and sabres. The color guard has consistently won class and division awards at marching band competitions, as well as earning the highest score for a color guard out of all competing groups. As part of the marching band, The Viking Color Guard serves the communities of Newnan and Sharpsburg by performing at parades, pep rallies, and other local events. The Color Guard sponsors a yearly summer camp for students in grades K-8.
