Booster Fundraisers
Each year the band boosters hold several major fundraisers where we come together as a community to raise money to benefit the entire booster organization:
Steak Dinner and Silent Auction: An evening of jazz featuring entertainment by the Northgate Jazz Ensemble, a delicious char-grilled Spezzano's steak with all the trimmings donated from local restaurants, and a silent auction event featuring event tickets, gift certificates to local restaurants and services, and much more. Coming in April 2024 TBD!
Football Concessions: The band boosters run the concession stand directly behind the home bleachers at all home football games. Parent volunteers prepare and serve the food. One of our biggest fundraisers!
Valhalla Classic Band Competition: Typically the first Saturday in October - 2024 date TBD.
This event is hosted by our band boosters and held annually in Valhalla Stadium. Bands come from all over our region to perform their field shows in one of the first competitions of the season. Please see the Valhalla page for more information! Our entire band family comes together to synchronize this day of competition through guest relations, food prep and service, transportation of instruments and visitors, and cleanup. All hands are needed to pull off one of our largest fundraisers of the year.
Spirit Nights: held monthly (typically a weeknight during the 3rd week of the month) at various area restaurants - our band boosters receives a portion of the restaurant sales from the evening.
Publix Partner, Kroger and Amazon Smile Community Programs: these programs run continually and require the purchaser to set up an online account and then select "Northgate High School Band Boosters" as the organization they wish to benefit from their purchases.

Student Fundraisers
Each year the band boosters also organizes opportunities for the students to fundraise independently where a portion of the proceeds goes directly into their student Charms account to offset band camp, guard and marching dues.
Tidal Wave Carwash Tickets: Sale held July to August (or until all tickets are sold). Students direct-sell tickets for a $20 Tidal Wave car wash for $10 each; Split is $7 band boosters / $3 student Charms account.
Rock-A-Thon: A favorite student fundraiser typically held as a chaperoned overnight event in the school cafeteria where students are sponsored by friends and family to remain seated in their "rocking chairs" for 50 minutes of every hour for the entire night 11PM to 7AM. The students set up video game consoles or bring board games and music instruments for entertainment and challenge each other not to fall asleep or leave their chairs. It has evolved over the years to rolling office chairs for many, but Rock-A-Thon has stuck. 60% of funds sponsored go directly to student Charms account and 40% to band boosters. This year's 2024 event is TBD.
World's Finest Chocolate Bar Sales: February/March 2024: Students check out a box of 60 chocolate bars for direct sales 4to friends and family for $1 per bar. $30 per box profit is split - $15 to student Charms account and $15 to band boosters.
